At university, I am currently doing a research project centred around the trend of personalisation, with the idea to create a business and marketing concept that will capitalise on it. This survey is just a small but very useful part of my research and if anyone wants to help a girl get her degree then fill it out and I would be forever thankful! So if you have a spare two minutes, just click the link above. Thanks.

So I stumbled across the images for Kenzo Autumn/Winter 2013 ad campaign today…Seriously, how has it taken me this long to notice them? I love how they mess with your mind a little bit; the image with hand on the end of the leg being the main example - I didn’t even clock it the first time I saw it. These surreal images are a little bit odd, but they definitely stayed on my mind which can only be a good thing with advertising. I do love the Kenzo eye print but to be honest, the top image may be giving me nightmares tonight! Creepy. And on a final note, how cute is that little kitten in the shoe? Bonus points for Kenzo there!

Here’s Part 2 of my favourite looks from the 2013 Costume Institute Gala at The Met (and my 100th post!). Embracing the punk theme, and her inner Carrie, Sarah Jessica Parker looked amazing in Giles. I think she must be one of the only people who can pull off something like this especially with the Philip Treacy headdress and amazing tartan Louboutin boots. It shouldn’t work, but it does - on her! Most of the celebs went for gowns but I just love Kate Bosworth in her Balmain minidress. I was excited to see what she was wearing as I loved her feather dress from last year’s gala. Jennifer Lawerence looked lovely in black Dior Haute Couture, as did Taylor Swift in J. Mendel. And browsing through so many images, my favourite look had to be Brooklyn Decker in Peter Pilotto (I did have to look her up to be fair)!  I love the green, blue and embellishment details and the mini fish tail. Her hair, make-up and shoes look awesome too. And she went a teeny bit (but not OTT) punky with several black earrings, rings and a cuff. Love this look!

Woke up this morning to all the images from last night’s Costume Institute Gala at The Met. Woops.. I didn’t even realise it was that time of year again! I always love looking at the pictures of the Met Gala though, so many stylish people in one place! The theme of the gala was ‘punk,’ but to be honest, after looking at all the images I picked out as favourites, I think I preferred the slightly more subtle ones. Here are half of the looks I loved the most - Part 2 is coming shortly. First, I have to mention Katy Perry in Dolce & Gabbana. I loved the brand’s Autumn / Winter 2013 collection so of course I love this! Though it blends in with the red carpet a little too much, I adore Amber Heard’s Emilio Pucci gown - her hair is to die for too. Claire Danes looked amazing in Oscar de la Renta and Olivia Wilde looked lovely in Calvin Klein Collection. I like how the styling was more subtle and they didn’t go too far with the punk theme. And Cara Delevingne arrived in Burberry (what else?!). I love the stud details!

I don’t know why because I would never ever want to wear something like this but I am totally in love with this purple look. Once again, Stella McCartney has nailed the ‘I’m wearing my pyjamas outside’ look. I think the make up and styling adds to it too. Other stand out pieces from the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection include this stripy skater style mini dress and this gorgeous LBD. I’ll be honest in saying that this collection isn’t my fave, but these are definitely the real gems of the show.

Some of my favourite brands/designers show at Paris Fashion Week and so it’s always quite exciting for me. Chloé unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2013 collection and I thought I would share some of my favourite looks.I think it is the shades of blue that do it for me. I also like the collar detail, the sporty bags, the cute dress with nude shoulder detail and the use of layering. Overall, its a really great collection for me, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of Paris Fashion Week has to offer.

I’m not overly keen on some of the shapes and silhouettes in Kenzo's Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, but I do like these looks. I have to say I think pairing a broad dinner jacket with tighter trousers really works here, especially in clashing prints and textures. I like the folds in the fabric of the mini dresses and the wrap-waisted trouser suits. And of course, it's not Kenzo without a cool jumper, and I really like the design of this one!
